I made the switch from Norton Internet Security to Avast! Internet Security and it was the best thing I've done for my computer. Avast! is also my AV of choice for my virtual machines.
I've used Norton for almost 4 years but the worst experience I had was with the combination of Windows Vista and Norton Internet Security 2009. Vista was bad enough then I have the bloated NIS 2009 slowing down my computer to a crawl when it is doing a background scan. I stuck with Norton for that long but now I'm done with it and I switched to Avast.
I've never tried Norton before, but I do know that to buy the full version is expensive. Avast is good the other pc in my house, I'm wondering if I should switch to Avast from Malwarebytes?
Yes Norton is expensive plus it uses up a lot of resources on your computer and slows it down. I was able to get a 2 year license for Avast! Internet Security for $60 since the original price was reduced for the holidays. If you want to switch to Avast! I'd recommend keeping Malwarebytes as it is technically not an anti-virus but it works well with anti-virus programs. Just to give you an idea I use Avast! Internet Security and Malwarebytes Pro together and it is a great combination when it comes to secuirty.
For years I hate this anti-virus!
